Introduction

Tailor On Tap is looking for an entrepreneurial, creative, and customer-obsessed UX/UI Designer to lead, define, and execute exciting new ways for people to discover and experience the Tailor On Tap brand. As a UX Designer, you will conduct customer research, establish a design system, web style guide, and work closely with the product team to create experiences that delight the Vital customer. You will take ownership of the Tailor On Tap eCommerce site design and act as a strategic partnership between product management, business stakeholders, and design/copy teams to deliver experiences to the Tailor On Tap customer. This role will be on the in-house design team and reports to Upper Level Management, but works laterally with other organization team on a daily basis.

Our patent-pending technology is the cornerstone of our business model and will provide the foundations for every business revenue stream to be successful.


What does the UX/UI Design Manager, E-Commerce do?

  • Plan, Conduct, and Analyze UX testing for web properties including web, web, and mobile application

  • Translate functional ideas and concepts into user flows, webpage wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

  • Build and maintain a design system for Tailor On Tap web and mobile. Work with engineering and asset teams to implement the design system across the site. Furthermore, once design system is implemented, build upon the current design in conjunction with further technological developments

  • Evaluate the Tailor On Tap customer and how best to design digital experiences for them.

  • Test, learn, and adapt to continually refine this to get to an optimal experience for our consumers.

  • Advocate for the user, new design trends, technologies, and methodologies

  • Create and refine storyboards, user flow diagrams, wireframes, and conceptual visual designs

  • Solicit design critiques from various sources

  • Negotiate and incorporate feedback

  • Work with front end to QA and elevate front end experiences


What does it take to be the UX/UI Design Manager, E-Commerce?

  • Extensive experience working in mobile web and application design.

  • CPG or eCommerce experience is a must.

  • BA/BS degree in HCI, UX, or Design related field

  • 5+ years of UX design experience

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Invision or equivalent tools

  • A design portfolio that demonstrates a solid understanding of both UX and UI techniques and processes.

  • Excellent command of Agile frameworks and Scrum methodology.

  • Extensive experience working with developers

  • Comfortable in collaborative design environments.

  • Able to iterate designs quickly and take & apply feedback to shape designs alongside other design colleagues.

  • Experience with building digital brand standards

  • Excellent creative problem solving

  • Team spirit + outgoing personality

  • Impeccable attention to detail and quality

  • Must be able to manage your time and projects efficiently, comfortable with shifting priorities and project scopes

  • Fearless about learning new skills

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
